Combat Rash Guard | Long Sleeve

Heavyweight MMA & BJJ Rash Guard Long SLEEVE

The ONX Combat Rash Guard Long Sleeve is an MMA rash guard and BJJ rash guard built for full coverage and heavyweight durability. Its fabric weighs 300 GSM, or grams per square meter, the standard measure of how heavy and dense a fabric is. A higher GSM means a denser, tougher fabric, and that density is what matters here: most rash guards sit at 180 to 220 GSM, so at 300 GSM this one stays more opaque under stretch, holds up longer through daily mat work, and delivers firmer compression. The long sleeves carry that same fabric from shoulder to wrist, adding a barrier against mat burn and abrasion that a short sleeve leaves exposed.

This is the long sleeve version, cut for athletes who want full-arm coverage, added warmth in colder training, or more skin protection during grappling. If you train in warmer conditions or want your arms free, the short sleeve version uses the same 300 GSM build. Sublimation-ready construction makes either one a fit for gyms and teams building custom fightwear.

Construction

Full Coverage, Built to Last

FULL-ARM COVERAGE
Long sleeves cover the arms shoulder to wrist, putting a barrier between your skin and the mat. Less burn and abrasion during grappling, added warmth for colder sessions, and full UV cover for outdoor and surf.

HEAVYWEIGHT 300 GSM FABRIC
A dense polyester and spandex fabric that stays opaque under stretch and holds firm compression from shoulder to wrist. Heavier than the standard 180 to 220 GSM rash guard, built for durability and a premium hand feel.

ANTI-RIDE FIT WITH SILICONE GRIPPER
A silicone waist gripper and athletic cut keep the rash guard locked in place. No shifting or riding up mid-roll, so you spend zero energy adjusting it.

FLATLOCK STITCHING & REINFORCED PANELS
Flatlock seams sit flat to reduce chafing during grappling. Reinforced stress panels hold up in the high-friction areas where lighter rash guards break down.

MOISTURE-WICKING, QUICK-DRY, UV RESISTANT
Pulls sweat off the skin and dries fast through long sessions, with built-in UV resistance and a low-profile athletic collar that stays flat and out of the way.

FAQ

Long Sleeve Rash Guard FAQs

What size should I order?

The long sleeve rash guard runs true to size in S, M, L, XL, and XXL. Order your normal size for a compression fit. The cut is snug by design for a second-skin feel, so size up if you prefer a looser fit. Sizing is consistent across all colors.

What is it made of, and how heavy is it?

Polyester and spandex at 300 GSM. GSM means grams per square meter, the standard measure of fabric weight, and 300 GSM is heavyweight, well above the 180 to 220 GSM of standard rash guards. That density is what gives it durability, opacity, and firm compression, and it carries the full length of the sleeve. Polyester handles moisture-wicking and color retention, while spandex adds the 4-way stretch and shape retention.

Should I choose long sleeve or short sleeve?

The long sleeve covers the arms shoulder to wrist, adding a barrier against mat burn, more warmth for colder training, and full UV cover for outdoor and surf. The short sleeve version, built from the same 300 GSM fabric, keeps the arms free and runs cooler in hot environments. Choose by climate, coverage, and how much skin protection you want.

What sports is it built for?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, wrestling, functional fitness and CrossFit, plus surfing and outdoor training thanks to the built-in UV protection. The heavyweight fabric, full-arm coverage, and anti-ride fit suit grappling and striking equally.

  • FULL-ARM COVERAGE Long sleeves cover the arms from shoulder to wrist, putting a barrier between your skin and the mat. Less burn and abrasion during grappling, plus added warmth for colder sessions and full UV cover for outdoor and surf.
  • HEAVYWEIGHT COMPRESSION FEEL A dense 300 GSM fabric delivers firm muscle support and a structured second-skin fit. More support and stability than standard lightweight rash guards.
  • 4-WAY STRETCH MOBILITY Stretches in every direction for a full range of motion. Shoulders and arms move freely through scrambles, shots, and submissions.
  • ANTI-RIDE ATHLETIC FIT A silicone waist gripper and athletic cut keep the rash guard in place. No shifting or riding up during rolls and transitions.
  • MOISTURE-WICKING QUICK-DRY FABRIC Pulls sweat off the skin and dries fast to keep you cool through long sessions. Ready for back-to-back rounds and repeated wear.
  • POLYESTER AND SPANDEX CONSTRUCTION A polyester and spandex fabric built for abrasion resistance and color retention. Flatlock stitching reduces chafing and reinforced stress panels hold up where grappling wears gear down.

Thin rash guards fail in the same places every time: they ride up, they go see-through, and they blow out at the seams. Cover the arms and you add one more failure point, the sleeves, which is exactly where cheap long sleeves thin out and tear. We built this at 300 GSM, well above the standard 180 to 220 GSM, so the sleeves hold compression and abrasion resistance from shoulder to wrist. Heavier fabric usually costs you mobility. The 4-way stretch is how this one stays dense without slowing the athlete down.

This long sleeve rash guard is built for athletes who want full coverage without giving up compression. The 300 GSM fabric and reinforced panels take the friction of mat work from shoulder to wrist without thinning out or losing shape, while the anti-ride fit and silicone gripper keep it locked in through every scramble. UV protection and quick-dry fabric extend it past the gym to outdoor and surf training.

ENGINEERED WITH PURPOSE

"Guys wear long sleeves for a reason. It is not about looks, it is about keeping your skin off the mat and your arms covered when you are grinding through rounds. The problem is most long sleeves stretch out and go thin at the forearms. I wanted this one to hold. It is heavier than what you are used to, the sleeves stay put, and the compression runs all the way down the arm. That is coverage you can actually train in."
